Three Weeks Old

Happy 3 week birthday to our little son! We cannot believe that it has already been three weeks since he was born. He has been such a joy and we just love to watch him grow and grow!

3 weeks

This week we learned that Liam:

Hates the hiccups (although Mommy and Daddy just love his hiccup face)!

Loves to sleep with his arms up over his head. It took us this long to figure this out becuase we only recently stopped swaddling him all the time. He still loves to be swaddled from time to time though.

Loves his Big Boy outfits! Ok so maybe we do! We just love how adorable he looks and just know that he cannot wait to play in the circle with his big kid friends!

Two Weeks Old

Here is Liam at two weeks old!

This week we learned that Liam loves his Irish heritage and enjoyed celebrating St. Patricks Day!

We also learned that Liam could definitely roll over from his tummy onto his side and practically on his back. We will say that counts as rolling over!

Liam also asked if he could take a ride on Charlie this week - and she obliged! He (on the other hand) didn't enjoy the ride too much when he got on.

We had our first "outing" (the trip back to the hospital when I was admitted doesn't count) to Granby's! She made meatloaf and invited us all over for dinner.

One Week Old

Here is Liam at one week. (This was actually taken from my hospital bed. I was admitted to the ER and then kept overnight for a kidney infection. With lots of care from my wonderful husband (and antibiotics) I am feeling much better and we are all happy to be back at home.

Liam left the hospital two days after he was born at 5lbs 13oz and 19 inches. We had a follow up visit with his peditrician two days after being discharged from the hospital where we learned that he was 5lbs 7oz and 20 inches. On his 6 day visit he was back at 5.13 and 20.5 inches! During the past week we learned that Liam was a very alert little boy. He enjoyed being held and quietly observing the world around him! We learned that he loves his bouncy chair, but not nearly as much as he loves his swing! We also learned that he loves baths! This week the doctor asked that we expose Liam to the sun since he was a little bit jaudiced, so we also enjoyed short visits in the sun.

Visitors

We were so excited to have so many wonderful friends come to meet our sweet our boy after we got home too! Here are pictures of some of the visitors who came out to see us after we got home.

Welcome Home Little One

Although we enjoyed our stay at the hospital we were so excited to get home with our new little bundle of joy!

Preparing to leave the hospital...

Another first was Liam's first car ride - our car ride home! Phil drove and I think we must have held our breathes the entire way home! We made it home safe and sound!
