Phil and his father sweated many weekends over the building of this shed and I have to say it is amazing!! It was like watching my house built all over again - only on a smaller scale! I love that we can clean out our garage and get all of those random items out of the garage and into this shed! Thank you Bill for all of your expertise, engineering, and muscles! We love you!
Les celebrated his 60th birthday Texas Hold 'Em style! It was a fun night - especially for me since I was the winner. I know right? I was so shocked I literally fell out of my chair! Fun times had by all and Happy Happy Birthday Les!
One of my friends Lori invited Janet and I to paint with her. Yes paint with her. I was a bit confused at first, becuase if anyone knows me they know that I have not a single artistic bone in my body! My mom is an amazing artist (and actually used to paint - a bit of trivia). Nonetheless, I went determined to make the most of it!
We went to a place called Painting with a Twist (check out thier website - they have locations all over - www.paintingwithatwist.com). They provide all of the supplies you need, a theme, and a professional teaching artist. You can bring your own food and drinks if you choose. Our theme for the evening: to paint a field of Iris'. Eventhough everyone was asked to paint the same thing, with the same materials, paint colors and teacher there was not an identicle painting in the house. Thank you for such a wonderful evening Lori.
My very dear and wonderful friend, Amber, married on May 1, 2010. Amber and I met in college and have been freinds ever since! I was very honored to be her wedding coordinator for her wedding, and had a blast doing it! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your big day! It was a beautiful outside ceremony in Santa Fe overlooking a lake. It was such a fun time, and I am so happy that she found her husband, Matt. Wishing them a lifetime of happiness!
**Please excuse the quality of some of the images. I am not a professional, and apparently the quality is due to "human error". :D Enjoy!!
Saying thier I do's...
In lieu of a "unity candle" Amber and Matt opted for unity sand. What a great idea - and a wonderful way to keep such an amazing memory.
The New Mr and Mrs Koons!
They had a beautiful fireworks display during thier first dance.
One of my very good friends, Cynthia, married on April 24, 2010. Many of you know Cynthia as my "study buddy". She and I spent many painful months, days and hours working towards our PHR certification. She has always been an amazing friend to me, and only deserves the best. I am so happy that she has found the man that she wants to spend her forever with. They had a beautiful Catholic Mass followed by a beautiful reception at the Bella Renata. Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Daum!!
I want to apologize for not posting in so long. Our computer died, motherboard cracked (or something like that). We had to wait to hear the diagnoses and then wait for Phil to do some research (becuase anyone who knows my husband knows that he does not make any spontaneous purchases). So, we have had to buy a new and so here I am. I will be doing a lot of catch up blogs - so enjoy!!
