Visitors

We were so excited to have so many wonderful friends come to meet our sweet our boy after we got home too! Here are pictures of some of the visitors who came out to see us after we got home.

Welcome Home Little One

Although we enjoyed our stay at the hospital we were so excited to get home with our new little bundle of joy!

Another first was Liam's first car ride - our car ride home! Phil drove and I think we must have held our breathes the entire way home! We made it home safe and sound!

March 9, 2011 was a wonderful day full of firsts with our Liam - our first morning as parents, his first dirty diaper change, and first time meeting so many of our friends and family. Thank you to all of the visitors who came to visit us and meet Liam.

Liam's Nursery

I know a lot of people have been asking to see pictures of the nursery. Well here it is - practically completed. Phil, Wally, Les and Betty all labored to make sure it was all completed! It's absolutely beautiful!

My good friend Ashley's mom made the crib bedding, Gran quilted the blanket, my coworker and friend Sheryl made the letters and Granby made the curtains. They are all so talented and Liam is so lucky to have so many people who love him so!

Welcome William

Here I am at the hospital - 6:40am the morning of William's arrival...

Due to minor complications I had throughout my pregnancy Liam was planned to be born on March 8, 2011 and on that day he did arrive (we Sheridans like to be punctual). Phil and I arrived at the hospital at 5:30am that morning and were greeted by our "nurse of choice" Toni! She welcomed us and got us settled in. She hooked me up to all sorts of machines and checked on me throughout the morning. They gave me Pitocin (the medicine used to induce labor) at about 7:40am and the contractions began. Doctor Patronella then arrived and said that everything looked wonderful. My contractions steadily increased and after about an hour of that Phil ordered my epidural - and WOW what a relief that was - until it ran out on me when I was 10cm dilated. They rushed two anesthesiologists in to help me cope with the pain. After about 15 minutes - the pain subsided and it was time to really push! 40 minutes later Liam was born!
