Happy First Birthday Liam

Happy first birthday to our sweet ONE year old little boy.  I never really appreciated the term "time flies" until I had a baby - and boy does it fly.  We spent the day with our one year old mostly playing at home.  At his doctor's appointment he received a clean bill of health and 4 shots!  Mommy cried more than he did.  Our growing boy now weighs 24 pounds (76%) and is 33" tall (100%).  The doctor says he is doing great!!  Liam also had his bestie, Cash, over to play in the morning!  Such fun friends that can have playdates in thier pj's!

He had a "smash cake photo session" (courtesy of Daviet Photography), where he had so much fun "eating" his first cupcake (or any cake for that matter).  This photoshoot was so much fun and the highlight of my day to see his sweet smiling face!

We also celebrated with a small cake and sang happy birthday!!

And of course a birthday party to celebrate!  Liam invited family and some of his best friends!  The party was "Little Mister" themed, becuase since he was born we have called him "mister".  The party was complete with mustache and ties decor (a special thank you to my dear, sweet, best friend Sarah who sweetly made all of the decorations).  As the guests entered there was a Happy 1st Birthday Liam banner, and there were party favor bags with ties clipped to them (to resemble a white shirt and tie), Liam's 6 month picture where he was adorned with ties, chocolate mustache pops and a cute little sign (get it? Mustache ::must dash::).  This party was so much fun to put together and was worth seeing the sweet smile on Liam's face!

I had made a fun little activity center for the kids.  Here they were able to color mustaches on printed faces and black ties to color and create thier own tie!  The crayons were in shapes of mustaches of different colors!  Who ever heard of a green mustache?  We also had a "milk mustache" table where they could enjoy milk and cookies (sadly the cookies never made it to the table and I never got a picture of the cute little signs that Sarah made).

We also had mustaches on straws so everyone could have a mustache.  And cupcakes with cute little toppers.

We had lots of fun with family and friends!!

After singing happy birthday, Liam enjoyed a delicious homemade organic chocolate cake with homemade organic chocolate buttercream frosting!  I had cut it into the shape of a mustache to go with the theme.  What a fun mess!

Happiest first birthday to our son!  We had so much fun and have really enjoyed watching our son grow into this happy one year old.  Thank you for all the birthday wishes and to all who helped celebrate this wonderful day!!
