Hoppy Easter!

Easter was spent with our family in Wimberley!  Liam loved hunting for the eggs and tasting each one before putting them in his basket!

Family

13 Months Old

Liam has grown into such a sweet little man.  He loves to walk around - everywhere!  Being that he is still so tall he walks with a high step and arms up (imagine how a monkey would walk with thier hands above their heads).  He still sleeps very regularly (about 12 hours each night), with his Mickey Mouse and a blanket that his Nena crotched for him.  He still enjoys his naps and takes two naps during the day (2 hours each or split totaling 4 hours during the day - we are very blessed).

He definitely enjoys a big breakfast in the morning with daddy typically consisting of eggs and waffles or yogurt, rice cereal, fruit and cheerios.  He loves his milk and although he will drink out of a sippy cup (spout or straw) he prefers a bottle.  We have been working on the sippy since he was about 10 months old, but he thinks of it more as a toy and not an efficient form of milk delivery.

He is still very tall (measuring 34" these days) and is wearing 18-24 month old clothing, and a size 6 shoe!  BIG boy!

He loves to play with the puppies and chase them around the house.  Charlie enjoys (allows) him climbing all over him and Jack enjoys the "petting" and will walk away when he has had enough.

His favorite books to read are 'Itsy Bitsy Spider', and 'Alien Al'.  His favortie TV shows are Mickey Mouse and Baby's First Channel (although we limit his TV I can definitely tell he takes after his father and Uncle).

Happy *Surprise* Birthday/St. Patty's Day

On St. Patricks Day we threw a small surprise party for my mother-in-law, Jeanette, and my Aunt Barbara.  They were totally surprised.  I (sadly) forgot my camera at home and did not catch any pictures of the surprise.  But since it was St. Patricks Day I was able to snap a couple of shots of our little Irish lad.

Happy First Birthday Liam

Happy first birthday to our sweet ONE year old little boy.  I never really appreciated the term "time flies" until I had a baby - and boy does it fly.  We spent the day with our one year old mostly playing at home.  At his doctor's appointment he received a clean bill of health and 4 shots!  Mommy cried more than he did.  Our growing boy now weighs 24 pounds (76%) and is 33" tall (100%).  The doctor says he is doing great!!  Liam also had his bestie, Cash, over to play in the morning!  Such fun friends that can have playdates in thier pj's!

He had a "smash cake photo session" (courtesy of Daviet Photography), where he had so much fun "eating" his first cupcake (or any cake for that matter).  This photoshoot was so much fun and the highlight of my day to see his sweet smiling face!

We also celebrated with a small cake and sang happy birthday!!

And of course a birthday party to celebrate!  Liam invited family and some of his best friends!  The party was "Little Mister" themed, becuase since he was born we have called him "mister".  The party was complete with mustache and ties decor (a special thank you to my dear, sweet, best friend Sarah who sweetly made all of the decorations).  As the guests entered there was a Happy 1st Birthday Liam banner, and there were party favor bags with ties clipped to them (to resemble a white shirt and tie), Liam's 6 month picture where he was adorned with ties, chocolate mustache pops and a cute little sign (get it? Mustache ::must dash::).  This party was so much fun to put together and was worth seeing the sweet smile on Liam's face!

I had made a fun little activity center for the kids.  Here they were able to color mustaches on printed faces and black ties to color and create thier own tie!  The crayons were in shapes of mustaches of different colors!  Who ever heard of a green mustache?  We also had a "milk mustache" table where they could enjoy milk and cookies (sadly the cookies never made it to the table and I never got a picture of the cute little signs that Sarah made).

We also had mustaches on straws so everyone could have a mustache.  And cupcakes with cute little toppers.

We had lots of fun with family and friends!!

After singing happy birthday, Liam enjoyed a delicious homemade organic chocolate cake with homemade organic chocolate buttercream frosting!  I had cut it into the shape of a mustache to go with the theme.  What a fun mess!

Happiest first birthday to our son!  We had so much fun and have really enjoyed watching our son grow into this happy one year old.  Thank you for all the birthday wishes and to all who helped celebrate this wonderful day!!

Park Day Fun

The weather was perfect for a fun day in the park (or so we thought).  We had so much fun until the wind picked up and it became a "blustery day".

Happy Valentines Day

Sorry this is a little late.  Happy Valentines Day from our little lovebug to you!
